Meet Sophia "Soph" Frosoni

Exploring Hip Hop (commercial, popping, locking, & breaking), Jazz Fusion (jazz with elements of hip hop)
Sophia Frosoni is a dance performer, educator, and choreographer. She is trained in contemporary, lyrical, jazz, musical theater, ballet, and multiple styles of hip hop. She trains with her mentor John “Comix” Barrella in styles such as breaking, popping, locking, and street dance in his Redef dance company. Also within this company they mix hip hop with elements of comedy and miming in a section of the company called “Stupid Humans.” Sophia is currently earning her Dance Science degree at Rider University, ready to graduate in the class of 2026. With this degree, she is not only able to teach her students a plethora of styles with proper technique but also is able to teach how to keep their body safe when performing and training. Making the students aware of what muscles they are engaging and proper alignment allows them to connect their mind and body making their movement more true to themselves rather then copying what they see. Sophia’s mission as an educator is to help her students find who they are as a dancer and what dance means to them. Dance has been a passion of hers for her whole life and to share that passion with such amazing students and faculty is a dream come true, she is very excited to be apart of the Evolution family!!
