Meet Gianna Caporrimo-Bisbal
Preschool Program, Rhythm Works Integrative Dance, Adult Tap
Gianna Caporrimo-Bisbal holds a passion for the art of dance and the joy of teaching. Gianna has been dancing since the age of two and has been trained in tap, ballet, pointe, jazz, contemporary, and lyrical. During her training, she also danced competitively until the age of 18. Aside from competitively dancing, Gianna had the opportunity to be a part of the Performing Arts Ensemble (PAE) of Red Bank, under the direction of Ms. Evelyn Gardell, and performed with them in “The Nutcracker” at Carnegie Hall in New York City. Gianna has a love for the art of rhythm tap, which she credits to her mentor, Ms. Jennifer Asprocolas. Gianna has explored the world of tap by taking classes by renowned dancers such as Anthony Morigerato, Luke Hickey, Jason Samuels Smith, Dormeshia Sumbry-Edwards, and more. In 2019, Gianna had the honor of performing a tribute piece by Karen Callaway Williams in Homecoming 25, a New Jersey Tap Ensemble production. Gianna previously taught and choreographed for both recreational and competitive dancers. Alongside her Rhythm Works Integrative Dance certification, Gianna is also a certified PLYOGA Fitness Trainer. Gianna Caporrimo-Bisbal continues to pursue her passion for dancing and teaching by sharing her passion and knowledge with the next generation of dancers.
Throughout her life, Gianna has worked with the special needs community in various settings. Gianna is an ABA Behavior Therapist, working with children with autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, ODD, and speech and language impairments. Gianna has a B.S. in Applied Behavior Analysis from Ball State University and is pursuing a graduate level education in hopes of obtaining a BCBA certification. Gianna has experience working in inclusive and self-contained public school settings, including LLD and MD preschool through high school classrooms. She has also volunteered with community organizations where she helped integrate special needs children with sensory processing disorders. Gianna was also a special education paraprofessional educator in a preschool through fifth grade self-contained setting with a public school district and is certified through the district in Level 2 Prevention, De-escalation Techniques, and Defensive Techniques. She is also certified in Seizure Recognition and First Aid through the Epilepsy Foundation.
